"Election 'Irregularities' in Kentucky: A 20th Century Sampler on Stealing Votes"

Tracy Campbell has recently written an acclaimed biography of Ed Prichard, the noted Kentucky politico who allowed an ill-advised vote-buying prank to destroy a promising political career. Campbell will discuss the scope and scale of election fraud in various parts of Kentucky since 1900. In addition to a "sampler" of various elections (including the infamous 1948 election which landed Prichard in jail), he will also analyze the broader significance of election fraud in a democracy
